Non Ablative essentially means treatment that does not puncture or pierce the skin. Such non-ablative laser treatment is best at improving skin texture and tone.
Fractional CO2 Laser
Fractional or pixilated Laser treatment is an ablative form of treatment, which works by targeting both the epidermis (uppermost layer of the skin) and dermis (mid layer of the skin). Ablative lasers are more invasive, making them a great option for treating mild to moderate wrinkles, facial scaring and skin discoloration. Dramatic improvements can generally be seen after a single treatment, but most patients need two weeks or more of recovery time.
The CO2 laser has the longest wavelength of all the lasers on the market and hence in the experienced hands & with the right skin-type, CO2 treatments are an excellent option acne scars and surgical scars.
Derma roller or Micro-Needling
Derma Rolling is done in order to create tiny perforations on the skin, which leads to skin repair, leading to the creation of new collagen, a bodily protein made up of amino acids. Collagen is one of the parts of the connective tissue that helps in maintain elasticity, strength and firmness in skin.
A Derma Roller, in simple words, is a handheld roller-device having micro-needles (very small needles around 0.25 mm to 1.5m.), which is rolled over the skin. What exactly happens is that these needles create micro injuries on the skin, which in turn elevates the production of collagen and other essential substances for quicker healing and in the process the complexion becomes tighter and than before.
